1) Dooku is telepathic. He is strong in the Dark Side of the Force, which allows him to intuit the thoughts and feelings of others to a certain extent, or even 'read' information from their minds. Please let me know here if it is okay to use these abilities on your character in threads, otherwise I will always ask before each use!

2) Dooku lies. A staggering proportion of the things that come out of Dooku's mouth are half-truths, 'true from a certain point of view,' false promises, the truth with crucial information omitted, and outright lies. If your character has an ability or talent in detecting falsity, please let me know here so we can plot how to incorporate it into threads with Count Dooku!

3) Dooku is racist. Or rather, Humanocentric. While he conceals it carefully, he secretly holds aliens in contempt and believes Humans (like himself) should be the leaders in the Galaxy. If this is uncomfortable for you and you would prefer not to be tagged by Dooku, please inform me on this post and I will respect your wishes.

4) No fourth-walling, please. Dooku is from an obscure little canon called Star Wars that many characters may recognize him from. While I'm happy to see characters talking between themselves about the Sith Lord in their midst, please do not directly tell Dooku he is from a widely-known pop culture phenomenon, or that your character knows details of his past/future.

5) Dooku chokes people. One of the classic Dark Side powers he wields is to telekinetically strangle people with a gesture- even over means of communication, like a Network. Generally speaking, if the Count can see your character, he can choke them. I will not have him use this ability on any character without prior discussion.

feel free to read both Dorian & the Doctor's memories and ~sense anger in them~ or whatnot. Dorian's got a weirdo immortal brain and the Doctor's got an even WEIRDER Time Lord brain with 2,000+ years worth of memories so that would be something he'd pick up on/could possibly inconvenience him a little bit with regards to the Doctor's brain. also, be as racist as you want to the Doctor, he's just gonna be space racist right back. yaaaay. :|

1) Thanks to Qubit's psionic shielding, Dooku is very unlikely to get anything out of his mind. He's welcome to try, though.
2) but are his pants on fire
3) Qubit is a little bit of an alien fanboy (and deliberately cagey about whether or not he's human himself) so this could definitely be interesting if it came up :'D
4) tbf he didn't watch the prequels anyway :|
5) frankly i dont think he's been thrown into enough walls since he's been here.

Totally okay to be able to read Skye's mind/sense things from her. No need to ask for permission every time, just let me know/hint in your writing if you're wanting him to sense things from her and I'll provide it. I'm not sure why he'd strangle her(unless she finds out about him), but go for it. Just be aware Skye will fight back with her own powers if you're cool with that. (She can control/manipulate the vibrations in everything. So she could easily shake him from the inside. LOL.)

Depending on the lie, Skye honestly might be a bit suspicious. But it's not a power that she has, just the natural ability to read people pretty well.

Skye is actually half alien, so there's that. It doesn't show on the outside, but it's how she has her power.

1 - a little more complicated, since there are three people in that little head of theirs. So while Akito might be feeling amused, Agito might be pissed off, and Lind might be bored, etc... More detailed info on their mind is here!

But I'm thinking, no to info from them, and then for feelings a muddled mix of various ones? :|a

1: I don't mind Dooku intuiting Crane's general thoughts and feelings; there's been a notable shift in how he conducts himself after Batman gassed him in Arkham. His ability to rein himself in has been smashed to bits, so to speak. Crane doesn't really cover up his contempt for people like he used to and doesn't give any fucks. If it gets into the deep stuff - like things he's planning or his background - can I get a heads up? Considering Crane's solution to people knowing such info is psychological torment or outright murder.

There's the Scarecrow face/persona/self to deal with as well. Crane effectively died as the man he was in Arkham and took on this new life. That might be interesting to play around with? Though given the nature of his MO and mental state it can go into deep dark places. I think psychologically, given his training, Crane knows how to train his thoughts - though that doesn't account for supernatural power. TL;DR we can plan things out np let's do this thing.

2: Given his psychological expertise and training, I think Crane would have some ground here? He wouldn't know what exactly Dooku's lying about off the bat but he's been working with the worst sort of criminals and patients. It'd have been part of his job, especially in court, to detect people trying to defraud the system for an insanity plea ignoring the fact he facilitated lots of those ok ok. Also tbf he'd sit back and popcorn and watch Dooku do his thing so he can see what happens.

3: This is fine!

4: Like Crane watches Star Wars pffffft.

5: I've set Crane on fire and had him shoved through a window and beaten up so WHY NOT. Just let me know ahead of time since, well, it's Crane. He's a vengeful little shit.

He can definitely read Billy, and probably also sense HEY HUGE THING IN THE FORCE IS THIS BOY. And sense some seriously dark emotions but in the form of depression more than anger or rage.

He's also welcome to read both Lucy and Saya, though Saya doesn't really have emotions, and sometimes her brain literally fragments into thousands of entities so have fun with that.

I'm find with Dooku sensing the force in Revan, but as a master of pulling information from people with the force, Dooku won't be able to do so to Revan casually. If he tried he'd sense an iron will guarding his thoughts. A feeling I'd assume is mutual.

A sort of respectful, no thought dead-zone between them.

If there's anything else you wish to discuss about the mechanics of them, I am open!

1. Sure! Anastasya has quite a dark side (hah) considering she's a vampire necromancer and the head of a death cult. Yeah...

2. SHe's good at reading people but she won't catch things unless it's interesting for plot reasons.

3. She comes from a world of racists, it's cool. (She's not though.)

4. Noooot a problem. Although I'd love for her to ask 'How can you have more than one star war' somehow...

Blanket permission for dark side telepathy for Gansey, d'Artagnan and Grey! Their journals are [personal profile] quaerit, [personal profile] mousquetaire and [personal profile] kinesia, respectively. None of them have any resistance.

D'Artagnan has Empathic Inducement, which is a porter given power that lets him (for lack of a better word) infect other people with whatever he's feeling. As a general rule he avoids using this power, but given Dooku's ability to sense feelings, I thought you'd want to be aware!

3. Bring on the space racism! Though obviously anything overt will bristle her.

ADDITIONALLY i'm cool with assuming his force business can block her thread-reading, so despite her powers she won't be able to get a bead on him unless you specify otherwise.

1) With L'Arachel, what you see is what you get. Her thoughts and feelings are pretty much guaranteed to be exactly in line with her words and actions. He's unlikely to find anger in her beyond occasional annoyance; just optimism, insane levels of self-confidence, and unshakable faith in divine providence.

2) No lie-detection powers here!

3) 100% human, despite the anime hair colour.

4) I don't think she even has a clear grasp of what space is, never mind movies about it.

5) Okay that might make her angry.

4) Cal is very much a Star Wars fan. More OT than PT (or ST/NT whatever they're gonna call it), but he'll recognize Dooku. And realize how bad an idea telling him he's a fictional character is. He might say he's heard stories and legends if he's pressed, but only if pressed.
5) Blanket permission to choke Cal in to unconsciousness, not to death.

Open permission for both of my characters should they interact. Neither of them have mental defenses against that sort of thing.

At this moment Gogo prooooobably won't be going out of her way to talk to him, so you won't have to worry about her unless it comes up, but Heiji [personal profile] kendo_taisho is a nosy, confident little shit who is highly perceptive so there's a good chance he'll know Dooku is a manipulative liar given enough time talking to him. He won't know about what without evidence, but depending on how their CR goes, and how you want to play it, he may be annoyingly persistent down the line.

He'll often read as arrogant, sometimes brash, and seemingly overconfident, but Dooku should have no problem telling that he's a lot smarter than he looks.

1) He could probably get those strong dark sidey feelings in Glitch. Anger, fear, hate. He's still dealing with tramua of his canon update of being locked up for what he is. He's got no way to protect himself against this so feel free.

2) He can't tell if people lie to him or not but he's naturally distrustful of strangers. So Even if Dooku does lie to him Glitch won't trust it regardless. Maybe if there's trust built up first he'll buy it.

3) Uh Glitch is technically human? So there's not much of an issue there. Still dont mind the tagging but expect a punch to the mouth later, Dooku.

4) He's woefully oblivious to Star wars so no worries about fourth walling here.

5) Im okay with this depending on prior discussion. Just expect lightening.

1. I'm okay with Dooku reading Max's mind! He wears his heart on his sleeve anyway. I'll try to provide cues Dooku could pick up on as the conversation goes on, but if he tries to delve into deeper thoughts and emotions, let me know and we can back and forth about it.

That said, if Max is somehow made aware that Dooku is reading his mind when he wasn't invited to, Max is going to deliberately get It's Not Unusual stuck in his head while simultaneously thinking of every poop joke he knows.

2. Max lies, too. Not habitually, but he's not above a ruse to try and talk his way out of a sticky situation. He's empathetic and insightful, but also pretty trusting and will probably give Dooku the benefit of the doubt until he has reason not to.

3. fuck you dooku his dad's a talking chicken

4. Max lives in a prequel-free world, so no issues here.

5. i would love for this to come up one day so if the opportunity arises let's do the thing c:
