OOC RECRUITMENT POST
Does your character resent the government? Are they a criminal, mercenary, anti-hero, rogue or otherwise trouble? Do they enjoy astronomy and bickering over codenames? Then consider having them join the CONSTELLATION, Mask or Menace’s pre-eminent team for renegade imPorts!
The Constellation is a secretive organization of player characters founded on the idea that imPorts should control their own lives, with no government, Porter, or nanites to bind them. It is currently led by Count Dooku![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
dun_moch (politics), Raina flowerette (science), and Daryl Dixon dirtyredneck (security/logistics). You can find out more about the Constellation at their organization community, which links to the team’s roster, sign-ups, contact page, missions and more. Membership in the team is open to any character who can abide by the group's rules of secrecy and discipline, is willing to break the law, and is approached for recruitment by a current member.
Constellation members rarely communicate with their real identities, preferring to use assigned astro-themed codenames based on three levels of membership. Stars lead the team, Planets are full members, and Satellites are affiliates with more independence yet fewer benefits. The team’s moral leanings range from ruthless murderers to well-intentioned idealists, and they do everything from hacking secure government files and hunting down enemies of imPorts to funding themselves through the black market and torturing rulebreakers, as well as a lot of internal arguing and scheming. They have mainly kept to recruiting, propaganda and espionage so far, but have big plans for the future: their ultimate ambition is to seize control of the Porter (spoilers: this won’t actually happen ICly).

Plotting for opposing the Constellation
The existence of the Constellation has been public knowledge for some time, even though its membership remains secretive. That means there are plenty of options for heroically-inclined characters to combat its agenda, even if the team itself will persist for the foreseeable future! Possible avenues include but are not limited to:

-Attempting to join the group and investigate it from the inside. Some characters are already doing this, notably Yusuke Kitigawa
-Starting a rival, less-shitty group for imPorts opposed to the government. The Constellation may find it more difficult to recruit if dissatisfied characters have an ethical alternative to represent their concerns.
-Combating the group’s propaganda: speaking against the Constellation’s anti-government message on the Network and the Majority Report.
-Targeting the group’s funding by going after the ‘Blue Sky’ drug empire and other black market activities, currently being run by Kavinsky
-The player of Constellation member Hermann Gottlieb-Geiszler
